Sample - (audit file) control - monitoring - review
General
Global Network Group (GNG) operates as a conformity assessment body (certification body). Among others, ADR Register, ICR Coach Register and EMCI Register are part of Global Network Group. Since 28 April 2008, GNG has been ISO 9001 certified by LRQA (formerly: Lloyds Register). All GNG certification processes are conducted against international ISO standards.
Impartial - independent
An essential part of certification against ISO standards is the requirement that GNG, as a conformity assessment body, is 100% independent and impartial and works against objective procedures. To verify this, monitoring is carried out.
ICC Council
ICC Council (Global Network Group Quality Management) is internal supervisor at Global Network Group. ICC Council has independent authority and can impose improvement measures. Part of the monitoring is random checking of initial- and recertification files. All certificates are co-signed by ICC Council.
External supervision
Global Network Group attaches importance to external supervision. Among others, LRQA (formerly: Lloyds Register) is an external supervisor. Interested parties and stakeholders can have external monitoring access. This includes supervision by governments and professional and sectoral bodies.
Sample
In a random check, the entire file is checked for content and/or procedure. After the check, the file is released for certification or referred back to office operations. In the case of a referral back, the findings must be resolved. During the random check, certification is not granted, which delays the processing of the certification request. In principle, a sample audit lasts a maximum of 1 calendar month. Sample files are chosen ad hoc or nominated by office operations. Among other things, a nomination can be made in the event of special (case) circumstances.
Conditional certification
If the applicant has an urgent interest and sampling is applied, the applicant may request conditional certification. Global Network Group will decide on this. If the conditions are not met during conditional certification, the certification will be suspended or stripped (expelled/removed).
